Loadout does not collect anything.
The short version. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Nothing you enter is transmitted anywhere, because the app makes no network requests at all.
Your profile, targets, food log, workouts, cardio sessions, weigh-ins and custom foods are written to your device's local storage by the app. They stay on the device. Nobody else can read them, including the developer.
Your own device backup is a separate thing, and it is worth being precise about. If you have iCloud Backup or Android Backup switched on, your phone includes this app's data in that backup, the same as it does for every other app. That copy goes to your Apple or Google account, encrypted, and it is what restores your log when you set up a new phone. It does not come to us and we cannot read it. If you would rather it did not exist at all, switching backup off in your phone's settings stops it, at the cost of starting empty on your next device.
Nothing that this app sends. It makes no network requests at all: no telemetry, no crash reports, no "anonymous usage statistics". The only way its data moves off the phone is your own device backup, described above, which goes to your account and not to ours.
On iPhone, Loadout can read two things from Apple Health, and only after you tap Connect and grant permission:
What it does not do, and cannot do: it never writes anything to Apple Health, because it does not request permission to write. It reads nothing else — not heart rate, not steps, not sleep, not reproductive health, not clinical records. Strength-training sessions are skipped on import, since you log lifting in the app set by set.
Health data that comes in is stored on your device exactly like anything you type, and is covered by everything above: not transmitted, not analysed off the device, not shared. It is never used for advertising or marketing and never sold. Apple's rules forbid both, and neither is something this app would do regardless.
You can withdraw access at any time in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, Health, Loadout. Data already imported stays in your log until you delete it, the same as a session you typed in.
Android does not have this. Health Connect support is not in this version, so cardio is typed in by hand there.
None. No advertising SDKs, no crash reporting, no attribution, no tracking. The app declares no tracking in its App Store privacy manifest. The only permission it ever asks for is read access to Apple Health, described above, and only when you tap Connect. On Android it requests no permissions beyond vibration, which the rest timer uses.
Loadout does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. Since it collects nothing from anyone, there is nothing held about a child either.
Setup has an Export button that writes everything the app knows into one text file, and an Import button that restores it. The file is plain JSON and goes wherever you send it through your phone's share sheet. Loadout never sees it; it is produced on the device and handed to you.
Erase everything from the Setup tab, or delete the app. There is no server copy to request, and no account to close.
If the app ever starts handling data differently, this page changes before that version ships, and the date at the top changes with it.
Calorie and macro targets are estimates produced from published equations. They are not medical, dietary or training advice.
